MEMBERS' CODE OF CONDUCT



1. Each member is allowed one account. Attempts to register for multiple accounts may result in one or all of them being removed. If you need help using your account, please contact a moderator. If you have multiple household members that each want their own account, you will need authorization in writing from a moderator before registering the additional accounts—limit of 2 accounts per IP.

2. When starting a new thread make sure you are in the appropriate forum. If you are unsure where to post, contact a moderator for advice. Posting in multiple forums or in the wrong forum could result in your post be deleted totally or moved to the proper forum.

3. Be respectful of other's questions and comments. It is OK to disagree with someone, but do so with the same respect that you deserve. Keep the BrewBoard community friendly and encouraging of everyone's participation. If you can’t say something good, it may prove best left unsaid. We will not tolerate rudeness, insults, personal attacks, inflammatory remarks, profanity, threats, racial/ethnic slurs, trolling, flame baiting or similarly hateful postings.

4. Vulgar, sexual, violent or shocking images and / or language are strictly prohibited. This includes the posting of external links of such material. We are intelligent adults, so we should be able to communicate with words and images that are respectful to all members regardless of age, gender, religious or political affiliation. Efforts to circumvent this rule by intentionally misspelling words are not allowed.

5. Members have a community responsibility to report clear violations of these rules to the moderators. When you see a clear or questionable violation, report it to the moderators.

6. Spamming, chain letters, or referral requests are strictly prohibited.

7. Topics concerning politics, religion and illegal activity will be watched closely in an effort to maintain decorum and civility.

8. Efforts to organize a group purchases are strictly prohibited. There are no exceptions!

9. While we are quite happy to have constructive comparative conversations about competitor's products, we will not tolerate blatant efforts to bash our competitors, other boards, affiliates of Ale and Artifacts’ Ltd or this board.

10. If you are a product or service vendor, your expert advice about your product or service is most welcome here when it is solicited by other members. Otherwise, unsolicited reviews and posts regarding your products will be considered unapproved advertisements, which will be promptly deleted. Advertising is under the control of Ale an' Artifacts, Ltd and its affiliates.

While these rules focus on our most common problems, we cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate with or without prior notice to ensure our forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

Violation of these rules via postings, emails, Personal Messages (PM’s), avatars, personal photos, signatures, chat room transcripts, or outside links that violate the rules will be dealt with in a swift and dictated manner.

This is your board, please don't ever allow a few people to become so disruptive that this board ever hs to be shut down again. Please help us maintain a clean, strong community by reporting any questionable material to the Moderating Team. The moderating team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.

MODERATORS CODE OF CONDUCT


Moderators will generally not censor content, but we reserve the right to censor style. In other words, we care less about what you say more how you say it. Members may criticize, complain, disagree, etc. - but are required to keep it civil, respectful, honest and clean.

Moderators reserve the right to warn, temporarily restrict, or permanently ban members at their discretion for violating the Member’s Code of Conduct rules (hereafter referred to as “the rules”).

Moderators may mark a questionable post invisible while he/she consults other mods in the MC for suggestions. A recommendation of delete and a second will constitute enough reason to delete.

Moderators reserve the right to close, move, hide, delete, and/or edit posts at their discretion for violating any of the rules.

Moderators will send Personal Message notifications, document warnings through the ACP pertaining to all violations of the rules, and raise warning levels with each violation of the rules.
First violation—verbal warning PM, no suspension, warning level set to 10%, 1 month probation

Second Violation—PM explanation, 1 day suspension, warning set to 30%, 2 month probation

Third Violation—PM explanation, 3 day suspension, warning set to 100%, 3 month probation

Fourth Violation—PM explanation, permanent ban of login.

Violations while on probation are grounds for immediate explusion


Moderators reserve the right to take stronger action without warning for repeat or blatant violations. MODS reserve the right to limit member access to forums to which that member has proven to be an asset.

Moderators will be held to the same standards of conduct as members.
