Some other boards have avatars up to 96x96. Can we do that here, or is that a bandwidth issue?

I hate large avatars. I vote no.

People are obnoxious enough with their signature lines that go on for 1/2 a page. I'm aware mine is a little lengthy...I'll cut it down. I'm not a Mod, but one of the things about the BB is that the avatars have to be small enough and tasteful enough (no crotch shots) that if someone's client walks past, they aren't looking at something that will cost someone an account or their job.

I'm thinking larger avatars would be in that obnoxious catagort. Even Keith's avatar...blown up that big...can be a bit too much. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/smile.gif)

But again, I'm not a Mod, I just listen well when I choose to. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/biggrin.gif)

I'm not sure why they're so small. kroyster may possibly have some reason for the smaller avatars. Probably is a bandwidth consideration for the ones hosted at brewboard.com. For the offsite avatars, it wouldn't make any difference.

Lower your screen resolution to 640x480. Those avatars will look huge!
