haha thanks ken, I like that you are as excited about this simple stuff as I am. the combo's are so fantastic..... I am thinking like Munich + Northern Brewer split with german ale and irish ale side by side..... but wait I could do a 2-Row + cascade with 1332 aide by side with a 2-Row with Palisade and 1056...... ENDLESS!!
tasting notes are going to have to happen here... (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/inlove.gif) |

5 gallons single infusion 152df 9 lb 2-Row 1 oz Northern Brewer @ 60 1 oz EKG @ 20 1 oz EKG @ 10 Safale 04 Low gravity pale ale. I just wanna see what happens when you take 2-Row and some Noble hops and make beer. Thought others might have experience with something this slimmed down? Going to brew this in a couple days. This really sounds cool....so how did it turn out? |

I have a beer like this on tap now:
10 gal batch 17# rahr 2row 1.5 oz cascade - FWH, 20,10,5 mashed at 152 us-05 I didnt like it at first because the grain and hops were really fighting each other, but after a few weeks when it aged a bit it is really awesome. |

Cool. What O.G. was that? 1.045ish? I was thinking of doing something similar with Marris Otter, Magnum or Summit (bittering only), and London Ale yeast. Also, maybe mashing at a lower temp for a dry finish. |
