I have been making my own wine and mead for about 2 years now, and there is something that has apparently escaped my notice. I think this may just be one of those things that everybody knows so nobody writes it down. I believe my question would best be formulated thusly:

Wine is to Vintner as Mead is to _________?

Also : Brewing is to Beer as __________ is to Wine/Mead?

any assistance in this matter would go to great lengths to unconfuse my confused little mind.

Wine, a beverage made from fermented plant juice. Mead, fermented beverage made from honey. Both can contain other material.
Bees collect nectar (sucrose), a secreted juice from plants and convert it to honey (glucose and fructose).

A Vintner is someone that specifically makes wine from fruit in the vineyard or grapes.
Mead is a honey wine, and a person making mead is a Mead Maker.

Brewing is something done with malt. Steeping and boiling to extract sugar.
Beer, Jora, and Sake are brewed.

Brewing is a chemical process to extract that does what the mechanical process of pressing grapes does to extract sugar.

Mead can contain plant juice and or malt. It can contain brewed components or a pressed variety.

Wine is to Vintner as Mead is to the Mead Maker

Brewing is to Beer as Pressing is to Wine but not always Mead

Thanks BobH, I was thinking there might be more fancy terminology for some reason. But then I have a knack for over complicating things. Much appreciated
