Was thinking the opposite of a steam beer, what do you guys think

5lb - Vienna
5lb - Munich
5lb - 2 row
.5lb - Carafa
.25lb - Roasted Barley

.5oz perle 60min
.5oz perle 40min
.5oz tettnanger 20min
1oz hallertauer 5min

white labs irish ale yeast

5 gal batch

I think maybe some slightly darker caramel malt and cut back the 2 row. Caravienne is what im thinking, maybe 2#

Nah, you donít want a lot of sweetness in there, and 2 pounds of caravienne will definitely give you that.

Thatís a lot of malt for a 5-gallon batch, though. What OG are you going for?

Yea i want it a little dry, never been a big fan of crystal/caramel malts anyway, i went with the recipe i posted and was shooting for something around 1.08 for 5 gal, but got 6 gal of 1.064

Turned out pretty good, could have a little more mouth feel and maltyness but not bad
