I have had Hops stored in the freezer in my garage in Ziploc baggies with most oxygen taken out. They have been in there for a year. The other day I had come home and noticed water leaking from the refrigerator, somehow the fridge got unplugged. Not sure how long it had been unplugged. But I am wondering if my hops are still good to use…..

Open the bag and smell them. If they smell like fresh hops you use on brew day then use them. If they smell cheesy then toss them.

If they smell old and/or cheesy, make a lambic, if you like lambics. Otherwise I'm with Pilsenhammer, toss 'em.
