Now, that is weird, I haven't been around in literally years. I'm about to brew my first batch in at least 2 years. I poke my head in, scan a couple of pages and find a post from when I was a very active member, who would'a thunked...

I blame the economy... no one has time for hobbies when they are trying to save their house.

I blame me and many others abandoning homebrewing for the pro side. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/devil.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/biggrin.gif)

I thought that was what I saw in the post about winning the medals. Congrats! I remember some of your recipes from when I used to be on here all the time. Of course, that was when you were cj in jp, or something like that. I also remember this board was always plagued with waves of people getting ticked and leaving. Not sure what this latest round was, but looks like it's pretty much done this time.

Yep, that was me and the brewery I brew at -- Baird Brewing in Numazu, Japan. And yes, I was cj in j -- gave that up when I stepped down as moderator because I wanted to separate my Mod Chris from just plain homebrewer Chris.

I like Baird Brewing on Facebook!
People do bug me sometimes about starting up a brewery here. If I did I would still check in and share. There is no secret to making beer, so I see no harm in sharing about the craft.

I have had numerous insects get die in my primary but no mammals or diapers yet.
Odd that a diaper sounds revolting but we all eat some FDA allowed amount of poo, bugs and animal parts in our processed foods every day.

That's hilarious! When my twins were born a made up a batch of beer and JOKINGLY called it "Double Trouble IPA (Infant Poopie Ale)" but yours is legitimate. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/beerchug.gif)

I was at my B.E.E.R. meeting last night and for some reason, this thread popped into my mind and I had to tell the brewer from Sand City Brewing Company (beautiful downtown Northport, NY) so I had to check to see if it was still here.
Imagine my delight, it is here... hurrah!!!
I think it also survived a massive brewboard crash some years ago.
Someone needs to immortalize this...

I have a copy of it saved on my hard drive should a database error ever happen. It is one of the epic threads on here, along with OldFart reclaiming CO2.
