QUOTE(Rod_Tidwell @ Oct 28 2004, 08:15 AM)
Here is what went thru my mind in those 3 seconds...
1)  What the FU&% is that! (when its falling)
2)  Is that a fu*^ing diaper! (just splashed down)
3)  OMFG that is a fu^%ing diaper! We don't even have a baby!  WTF!)
I dropped everything in my hands and tossed it out...

I was freaking out, yelling at my wife......  Didn't know what to do,  SO I posted here....

I have decided to "let it go"  and see what happens...... (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/crazy.gif)

"SPLASH DOWN ALE".
Might be good since that diaper had been fermenting for two days.
Maybe it soured a bit and can get that lambic flavor.

I'm terrified that so many of you suggest riding this one out. I could never get past the mental aspect and would more than likely convince myself I was tasting urine regardless of wether or not it was actually there. I'd definitely be crying as I dumped the fermenter, but sometimes the beer gods demand sacrifice.

If a dirty diaper can fall in, I don't want to know what could be next. Just an observasion here but, ah, perhaps you should keep a lid on your fermentor... (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/sorry.gif)

It also seems to me to be the perfect time and reason to hang the classic boys club sign on your door: NO GIRLS ALLOWED!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/crazy.gif)

Is this possibly an overt act of hostility on the part of the wife?
Why change a stinky baby there and not in some better locasion.
Why not to throw a dirty diaper out in an appropriate container at the very least.. leave it on a shelf?? That is really disgusting and uncalled for.
Justifiable anger here IMO

i have a difficult time even believing this little story. if it is indeed true, i think it's time you asked for more space and start organizing it better. I have kids in diapers as well but none of them (the diapers, that is) EVER get to a height above a fermenter.

If I remember the original post and subsequent items, I think the man is orgainized, it was his room for his brewing stuff and other guy space. This was a major disrespect of the man. The very least that mom could have done was dispose of the crappy diaper herself.
However, seeing that these same moms will throw diapers out all over the roads of America I am inclined to believe the story.
I think I've seen the statistics and diapers are waaaay up there as major road trash.
The original question was to keep the brew or toss it. I vote for tossing. I would have a major mental issue with the knowledge of 'the incident'. Also, maybe, a close inspection of the room would be in order to disarm future 'bombs'.

Trust me I knew I was going to get hammered for this post.

I expected

1) You are so stupid!
2) You are a slob!
3) You need more space & need to better organizational skills.
4) You are making this up.

Fact is, It is a 2600sqft. 4br home ... My "brew room" is 20 x 22 approx.
and it is ALWAYS clean. Thats why I did not expect to find a FRIGGIN DIRTY DIAPER on my shelf!!!!!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/devil.gif)

PS: I slept on the couch in my beer room last night.

Rod, I'd like to thank you for the post, and for seeing the humor in it.
This story will make the immortal list and last forever. Everyone has thought of having something happen. I can see a bird taking an untimely "dump" while in an inappropiate place (i.e. over my brewpot).

Again, thanks for bringing a little humor into our day.

In this case I won't say "have one on me"
