As usual the Cream of the Crop Milk Stout is another excellent beer by HBA. I would recommend it to anyone that likes milk stouts. I had the pleasure of being the first to purchase this kit and getting ready to brew it again. As mentioned in the description, this one is great for those that have a sweet tooth.

It's ok, but it wasn't sweet enough for me. My benchmark for all cream stouts is Mackeson.

To the person who voted "1 Awful" -- why did you think it was so bad? I'm truly not trying to give you a hard time (everyone's entitled to their opinion), but I wonder why you thought it was so bad. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/sorry.gif)

I just bottled this one last night. Pre-carbonated it tasted pretty good, but could have been a little maltier and less sweet. But I guess that's why the description says it's for stout lovers with a sweet tooth.

I'll have to see how it tastes after a couple of months in the bottle.

I brewed this for a friend that requested a stout. I'm not much of a stout guys anymore. This one is tastey. I'll enter this one into the Blue Bonnett, and KCBM. I gave it a 6.

I've had this one in the bottle about a week-and-a-half but it improves a whole lot every day. It is a lot less sweet now than it was a week ago, and it was certainly less sweet a week ago than it was the day I bottled it.

I'd have to say that it isn't milk-stout sweet, and has that malty taste I like in a stout, with a very toasty finish. For a stout I'd give it a 7. For a milk stout I'd have to give it a 4 since it really isn't sweet.

Overall I'll give it a 6. It's good, but not necessarily a milk stout.

I currently brewed this beer this past Monday, but decreased the lactose to only 11 ounces, hoping to cut some of the sweetness many have mentioned.

I cut mine down to 8 oz on the last batch. I like a touch of sweet so I hope that took care of it.
