The "King of Beers". Ha! What a joke. If Bud is the king of beers, I'm a monkey's uncle. This watered down pig swill isn't fit to drink. I've had it in bottles, kegs, and cans, and it all was terrible. Who drinks this shit? The aroma, if you can call it that, is of rice & burned corn. They use rice & corn (says so right on the label) because rice & corn are a lot cheaper than malted barley.
No hop aroma or taste for that matter to speak of. A fizzy, light straw colored nightmare in a can. It tastes of rotten vegetables, and it'll give you a hangover that would kill any ordinary horse. They should ban this stuff, because it is one nasty beer in my book. I personally never developed a taste for mega-swill, thank God. Save your money, buy better, not Bud. I too find this beer to be pitiful. Although I respect the great amount of science that goes into making beer that is so light in color and clear and as devoid of flavor as possible, I dont see the point. I must say that even in my "drink as much beer as possible in as short of a period of time" younger days, I still thought that Bud was gross. Even as far as mega-schwill goes it does not rank well. Of course this poll is quite loaded on a site like this, what with all of us being beer freaks and all. Plain and simple, dont drink Bud.

Not saying that I like Bud, but instead of tearing others down, why not just build up your favorite breweries? So negative. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/sad.gif)

I like Bud. I drink it and enjoy drinking it. I do not seem to forget that it is the homebrewer that is in the minority, that knows the difference in beers. If given my choice of Bud and other mass produced beer I pick Bud. Bud or lets say a really good homebrew well that is why I am here.

Alright, who's the trouble-maker that gave Bud a 10?

i gave it a 6, its not the worst beer you could be drinking. in fact theres nothing horrible about how it does taste, it could just use alot more of somekind of flavor.

Bud is the thing that made me a wild turkey drinker.. I NEVER liked beer because I mistakenly thought bud = BEER. I had a Bottle from a microbrew in wisconsin when I was there for the 90th anniversery of harley. WoW that was good beer. Dont know what it was called but it was dark, thick, rich, almost nutty flavor. I dont do the turkey anymore and when I do drink I drink better beer. It didnt take long to figure out good beer might be more expensive but its worth the extra.

I gave it a 4 because it does what it's aimed to do: make it drinkable such that many, many beers can be downed within a 3 hour period (i.e. a football game).

Aroma 1 - what aroma?
Appearence 9 - hey, it's a nice clean, clear lager
Flavor 1 - the lack of flavor is what makes it the King of Beers in America
Palate 3 - nothing to describe here
Overall 4 - it does what it's suppose to.

I will never drink Budweiser again because it gave me the worst hangover ever...and I didn't even drink that much.

I thought that this thread was about the original version (Czechvar in the US). That beer is a 10. The AB version is not fit for man or beast.

Bud is actually good enough to drink if you are getting it out of the brewrey...that is the only time it ever tasted good to me. Never really that great in cans or bottles and give a hangover.

Mostly. It is an alcohol delivery system. I once saw an internal Bud commercial from the 60's featuring Fred and Barney. It was all about trying to find the 20% of beer drinkers who consume 80% of the beer. In other words - drunks.
