Just bought a case the other day, as it was only $9, and I'm poor. The fact that I'm paying around 38 cents a can improves the taste ever-so-slightly.
Bud isn't terrible for what it is (a means to cleanse the palate between pints of 'actual' beer). (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/beerchug.gif)
If consumed within the right 'mindset' (drunk), it has fooled me into believing that it is almost as crisp, clear and refreshing as anheisers well-paid advertising hacks suggest it is.

However, if you're looking for plain old all-american cheap swill, ya gotta stick with Pabst or High Life. Pure class. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/cheers.gif)

saw this - and just had to respond.

Budweiser stinks. bottom line. 38 cents a can? where are you buying it?? that would mean that you're paying 8.99 a 24 pack. that's impossible.
over by me, in the Chicago burbs, you dont get it less than $13.99 (and that's on sale).

I never understood how people paid that much for the garbage.

If i'm going to pay that much for swill, i'd opt for PBR. i can get those suckers for $11.99 a 30 pack and it tastes slightly less like urine. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/biggrin.gif)

Believe me, the super-cheap price is THE ONLY reason I would buy a 24 pack of it. The original price was around $13. A $2 'sale' reduction and Bud's 4th of July promotion, a mail-in rebate worth $2, brought the price down to $9. Possible.

Budweiser serves its purpose, it has 80% of the beer market, this is why I make homebrew. But a lot of people are like my neibhor, its just easy enough to get a case of bud for the night. I have no complaints about this beer, when i want a real beer I just go pull a pint of homebrew.

Sadly, Bud Light is more likely to have 80% of the beer market -- not Budweiser.

I like the look of the can. Only reason I drink pisswater is when I want to chase some bourbon. In which case, Miller High Life or various canned crap like Northstar, Schlitz is in order.

I helped a new colleague move in the other night; he gave us pizza and Bud Select. I hadn't tried Bud Select yet. I'm not a fan of Bud, though I do find it a decent drink when I'm dehydrated and someone else gives it to me. Anyway, it's probably been 2 years since I had Bud. Bud Select tasted EXACTLY like my memory of Bud. I know it's asking for trouble to post this here, but has anyone tried them side by side? Is there actually any difference in taste?

In the past, present and in the future I'll drink Budweiser. In the past I paid for it, currently and in the future, I will pay for it but on a limited budget.

On "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" the other day, the question was something like, "What product is Anheiser Busch the biggest purchaser of?" The choices: rice, corn, wheat , or something I can't remember. Anyway the audience poll said wheat, and the AOL poll said the same. I was screaming RICE, but the lady listened to the audience and lost.

I'm not a fan of any of the Bud products, although Amber Bock is okay. For the styles they brew they are very high quality. If you don't like American Lager, than your issue is with the style. Bud is a classic example of American Lager. Personally, I will take an Old Style.
