My favorite BW hands down. Simple yet effective, I love the hop flavor from the Chinook, cascade, centennial combination.

My first barleywine. I was blown away by this beer. I am not a hophead, IPA's often leave me dried out and they don't 100% excite me. This 2007 bigfoot made me really happy (literally). Not overpowering alcohol presence, lots of hop flavor. Great beer, drank it over the period of an hour with great enjoyment. Special occasion beer, I'll be saving a couple for future and picking up others if possible.

First had one in 04, and it knocked my socks off. Had it every year since, and I think 06 the best yet, but the 08 could improve with age.
All vintages phenomenal!!

I gotta chime in b/c I have been drinking the 08' lately. I'm liking 07' better, wish I had more than 2 in my fridge (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/sad.gif) The thing that kills me about barleywine is I've developed an ability to enjoy it like any other beer. I've given a few out to family and friends for sampling and it's too heavy for them to stomach. Ah the beauty of one's tastes becoming refined!!!!
