Appearance 5/5
Smell 3/5 Taste 5/5 Mouthfeel 4/5 Drinkability 5/5 Overall 4.4/5 ABV = 6.5% This probably my favorite commercial beer. It pours amber in color with a decently thick head. Out of the bottle I find that it pours a little cloudier than most commercial beers, probably b/c it is bottle conditioned. Dead Guy is unique in that it is a Maibock fermented with Rouge's Pacman ale yeast. It has nice clean hop flavor due to the saaz finishing hops, but some underlying fruitiness due to the pacman yeast. If you haven't tried this beer, I highly recommend it...especially on draft! |

I am drinking one right now. I heard so much about this beer for a long time but this is the first time ive bought. Probably next to impossible to get this on draft here in Toledo, but even from the bottle it is great. Gave it a 9/10 just because something has to truly blow me away to get a 10. Ill definitely be buying more of this in the future though.

Really great beer; very distinctive taste (and bottle). I couldn't drink it every day, but after you haven't had one in awhile, it tastes amazing.

I like Dead Guy a lot. I can't say it's my favorite commercial beer, but it's right up there near the top of my list (top-10, anyway).

Same here, not my number one, but definitely at the top of the list. Also agree, not something I drink all the time but something I definitely want on occasion.

A very good smooth tasting beer I might add.

This is some good stuff! Not sure why I haven't had it before. Rogue's stuff has decent availability in MI, but never saw it on tap before. I finally ran across some on tap and gave it a try. I've since picked up a sixer and enjoyed that also. It doesn't seem real remarkable, so I can understand why some may not thing it's worth the hype, but seems to be a well crafted brew. Gotta bump this up to the top of the brew schedule.

While not at the top of my list either, I like to have one once in a while.

Easily the worst beer I've ever had. It was like having an extra bad Heinie. But then, I don't like bitter beer. I would rather grapefruit juice anyday.
Since I seem to be at the other end of the spectrum from everyone else I didn't vote in the poll. But I'd give a zero for sure. This post has been edited by BendyStraw: Aug 15 2006, 06:34 PM |
