Brewster's Yeast Slants. Just placed my second order with them and really like the vast invetory of yeast slants they have. Their shopping cart is a little goofy and you have to pay via Pay Pal. Other than that i love them. I'll give them a 9 only cause you have to add something to your shopping cart to be able to view it. Also you can't delete an item from your cart you have to clear the whole thing if you want to make a change. Other than that i like them. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/smile.gif)

I've never heard of them before. How well is there yeast, specifically the nutristart with yeast from a slant?

cheers!

They worked well for me, and there was quite a bit of stuffing around at my end trying to sort out importation issues to Australia.

Also, I paid them with Visa, there is an option in the Paypal page to simply pay with credit card, you don't need a Paypal account as far as I can tell.

I agree the shopping cart is a bit dodgy.

Their yeast is great. I made a starter out of 1 inoc loop full from a slant and added it to 200ml of 1.030 wort and put it on the stir plate. In 2 days i had some good activity going on. It just takes awhile to see signs of life cause your starting out with such a small amount of yeast. The inoc loop is small about this size>o

Placed my first order yesterday... I will see how they are. First impression is they are very cool and easy to get in touch with through email.

cheers!

Their yeast is great, the varieties of yeast strains is great, and the Nutristarts are good. Nutristart is a little on the pricey side, and you have to use Pay Pal when ordering, those are my only complaints!! Overall, pretty damn good!!

I have made a couple of beers now from the slants I bought (CL-50 APA and CL-400 wheat yeast) and I was really pleased with the result.

My yeast farm (before I slanted another dozen last night):

Just as a side note, I have cut down the amount of malt in the agar mix for my second round from 10g/L to 7g/L.
