This beer is excellent in my opinion, I think it tastes just like pumpkin pie and pumpkin pie is my favorite. The beer is light in weight, alcohol, and color. The taste is pumpkin and spice, not much hop characteristic. Sweet but not ridiculous.
This is the other autumn beer next to oktoberest. If you get a chance it's worth the try.

I tasted a lot of pumpkin brews this year, and I thought this one was pretty pitiful. It was watery tasting. The spices need to be supported by a malty body, and this beer just didn't have it.

Edenton's Pumpkinhead and Goose Island's pumpkin ale ranked the best with me and the wife

I like this one compared to the seadog, and the blue moon offering, I won't even discuss the Anheiser/Busch offering. The absolute best pumpkin ale I've had is the Elysian's Night Owl, that is some tasty stuff. I 've also heard that the Dogfish Head pumpkin was/is good.

I agree with the others - a very weak effort.

I got a case of this last year for $10. There was a reason. It's garbage.
