I'm trying Bridgeport's IPA for the first time tonight. I like it. While it's not the best IPA I've had, I'll give it a solid thumbs-up. Here's what their website has to say:

QUOTE
BridgePort India Pale Ale
Our award-winning IPA sparkles with effervescence, the result of natural-conditioning, a process where the beer is double-fermented in each bottle, keg or cask. Brewed with a blend of five hop varieties, BridgePort IPA presents a floral, citrusy aroma and full hop flavor, while downplaying the bitterness. The beer pours smooth in the glass, emitting its signature golden glow.

It's definitely got a lot of citrus going on, but it's more complex than straight-ahead C hops. The malt backbone is on the thin side, but not so thin that it's really out of balance.

BeerAdvocate gives it an 87.

BP IPA is one of my most favorite beers. I prefer to swirl in the yeast when pouring. I find that it give a nice piney taste to it. I gave it a 9

Just had one last night. Very good American IPA. Nice and hoppy but with a decent malt backbone.

The only IPA that my wife has tried and liked (although she hasn't tried my IPA yet due to the non-drinker currently residing inside of her). I think it's the more citrusy aroma.
