 More Brewboard Updates!, ~ New Skin & a possible "Remember Me" fix |

A new default greenboard skin has been rolled out. Hopefully it will fix a lot (all?) of the user interface (UI) problems that have lingered since that last software upgrade. If you see a skin problem where the color choices are extremely poor making a feature hard to use, or something that I clearly missed, you can post about it in the Bug Reports forum. If there are some color combinations that are functional but just not to your personal preferences, you are free to post about that too, but don't get your feelings hurt if no action is taken. I can't please everyone, and I need to move on to more pressing issues...
... like people who's Remember Me cookie setting isn't sticking, so they keep having to login after closing their browser. Although not an urgent issue, I agree it's annoying when something doesn't work like it should. I think I found a fix posted on the support forums, and I have implemented it, so let me know if it does or doesn't work. The change may not take effect until you log out & back in at least once, so try that before posting that it's still broken. |

The colours in the reply box are a little strong - white background and green text. The box is really bright on the dark green background. Other than that - looks great! |

Skin will take a while to get used to, but its a cosmetic thing.

It looks like the "remember me" fix worked for me. I started having the problem recently when I reinstalled my computer to move to Windows Vista. It could have been the reinstall that effectively cleared out all my old cookies or it could have been some feature of Vista that was causing the problem but as you described I'd have to log in again every time I closed and reopened my browser. Now that's fixed. Thanks for the hard work.

Nice skin...subtle changes, but they are nice. Good work kroyster and thanks for all the hard work and time you put into keeping the BB running. I know you don't get paid for this.

The log-out problem is fixed for me -- thank you thank you thank you. I still don't know how it behaves when I move to another computer, but at least when I close my browser, I'm still logged in.
Colors also work now. Again, thank you thank you thank you. I was missing my reds, oranges, yellows, and sometimes greens. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/tongue.gif) And the members list looks much better now. One small remaining problem is when you click on a member's name, the first choice in the popup menu covers their picture. Like I said, small, but just thought I'd mention it.
