I dug through the search and was surprised I didn't see anything. Anyone have any simple/cheap cases for the Love controllers? I'm just looking for something cheap, maybe like an electrical junction box. If the stars align Friday I'll be picking up a freezer and want something to hold it, but have no interest in making a fancy control box or anything...
Secondary question... has anyone used on of these controllers in the cold? On the site, they're rated for 14-degrees. I'm planning to have this thing in the garage, and it could get a little cold out there in the winter. Maybe toss it in the freezer in the winter, and outside in the summer to keep the condensation off? I'm expected to heat it in the winter somehow. |

I just use a standard box and a blank plate with a cut out.

For my collar I picked up a weatherproof gangbox from HD and sealed the controller and the box with silicone.
It was fairly easy given that the collar acted to help contain the controller, however, I assume you are looking for something free standing. Maybe put something together out of scrapwood with some screws? LEGO's? |

I don't know if you're still looking for ideas. But I just finished this one. I'm planning on using it with a refrigerator for a fermentation chamber, and with a heat stick to heat up my water.
(IMG:http://www.lustreking.com/brewgear/controller/controller.jpg) (IMG:http://www.lustreking.com/brewgear/controller/outlets.jpg) It has a switched outlet and an always on outlet. I used that krylon fusion paint that's supposed to stick to plastic, but it's already scratching. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/sorry.gif) (IMG:http://www.lustreking.com/brewgear/controller/probejack.jpg) I put an 1/8" stereo jack in the side so that I could easily switch probes, in case I want to leave one permanently in the refrigerator. |

Awesome, lustreking. Great idea and implementation. That jack is a great idea too.

I just picked this one up off eBay for $36 it seems to be in one of those Radio Shack boxes. (IMG:http://webpages.charter.net/2infinity/love.JPG) |
