Wine Haven website - in Minnesota

Take some acid blend crystals and put them on your tongue. That's what this mead tastes like.

There is a decent sweet mead in there somewhere, but it's hard to find. The acid is so overwhelming that it's very hard to enjoy. My impression was that it tasted like a very strong Sweet-Tart candy. My wife's impression was that it was so acidic as to be nearly metallic tasting.

I could probably drink it if there was nothing else around. And unfortunately, I think the excessive acid is probably the only significant flaw in this mead. But that one flaw is so excessive that it makes it virtually undrinkable, in my opinion. I'll give it a 3.
