Will brewing the AG version of this on Saturday.

By reading the "sheet" that comes with the kit, it calls for this...

Bittering hops (magnum) at 60 min
etc...

When you look at the hop schedule down below, it shows that bittering should be added at 30 min of a 75 min boil. What gives?

What does anyone else do?

Thanks,
sarge

Bittering hops are added at 60 minutes.

Flavor hops are added at 15-30 minutes.

Aroma hops at 0-5 minutes

as a general rule.

You are NOT Worthy.

Send it down to me, I'll do it justice.

*brewed it last weekend with a Boston Stock Ale recipe mixed in. I call it "Ted Kennedy: Arrogant Bastard from Boston" Ale*

Thanks DD...knew I could count on you.

WIll be brewing tomorrow and will let you know how it turns out.

BTW, I will be in Atlanta for Thanksgiving...any good beer that I should look at? I still have some Victory Hop Devil, DFH 60 and 90 min as well as some Weetwater 420 left from when I was there in July.

I recently brewed this and it looked like a 75 minute boil. I just did 60.

Hey - did you get cascade or centennial hops with your recipe? I was dissapointed that mine came with Cascade since the recipe posted online states it comes with Cents, which i a variety that I really like.

Will have to let you know after I get off of work today. FedEX states that my package is "On FedEx vehicle for delivery". Hoping that it comes with Cent as well, but the cascade is also good, just different.

I don't start the 60 min boil timer till I add the 60 min hop addition. I usually boil for a few to get a good rolling boil so it makes the boil time longer that 60 min.

Yeah, that makes sense. I don't usually start the timer either until I get a good rolling boil going as well.

Will let you know how it works out...Will be introducing hombrewing to a coworker tomorrow and introducing AG to another coworker (he just started brewing, and has 4 batches under his belt...already bit by the AG bug).
