I found the brewboard unresponsive this morning, but a quick reboot seemed to fix it. Then I found it unresponsive again tonight around 10pm. I am fairly confident that I have identified the problem as nothing more than running out of disk space on the volume where the mysql database is. And I also think that it was being consumed by some temporary backup files that can be deleted to solve the problem. I'm still researching and cleaning up, but that's the status so far.

No need to call for the lifeboat just yet. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/wink.gif)

Have you optimized the database recently?

Yes.

Silly me let the apache access log grow to 28 gigs (on a 40 gig virtual drive). (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/blush.gif) That space has been cleared. Now I need to modify my log settings to reduce the volume, and probably also periodically rotate and flush those logs.

The ones at my work are on to me.

They get thrown a few home brews.

Nuff' said.

I thought my modem and router were screwing up on me, I kept rebooting everything and cussing my isp, then I figured out that it was only doing that to me on the greenboard. LOL

Thanks for being on top of things! (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/cheers.gif)

Are there any performance issues going on right now? For the last week or so it seems the site is really slow. I'm not having any issues with any other sites, just the green board.

Just curious. It get frustrating after a while.

Cheers.

Big K.

I've noticed it sometimes too... like right now. But when I look at the server health stats, everything looks OK, so I'm not sure what is causing it. I'll keep an eye on it.

Thanks Kroyster. I've noticed it more in the "Beer" forums. It doesn't seem to drag as much in the other areas. Does that help?
