Is that all secondary? I never had that much foam in secondary but it looks good though. I'd let the foam die down and bottle that goodness.

So there is no infection? I should just wait a bit longer before bottling?

Is that foam or mold?

it looks like foam not mold. I have never had beer foam like this though. I had it in the bucket for a week and tranfered to glass and it has been foaming more and more. there is also some floaties, if you will click on the pics you can see them up close and see them.

If you have a new civilization growing in your carboy in a week or so, then there might be a problem. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/wink.gif)

looks kinda suspect, but not as bad as that Oklahoma helmet you have saved in your album!! (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/biggrin.gif) I'm still bitter over the a$$ spanking last year (canes fan)

its kind of tough to tell from pictures whether its foam or some sort of growth. keep monitoring it, if all is well there should be no additional growth of the "foam."

how long did you ferment in your primary prior to racking to secondary?

A week he said. Did you take a few gravity readings before you transfered? Next time I'd let your brew sit in primary for 2 weeks at least just to make sure everything gets done.

I suspect you probably transferred to secondary before the beer was thoroughly finished fermenting. That looks like foam/weak krausen to me. That does not look to me like any sort of contamination.

he said its been in the secondary for a week, not primary....

i agree with the poster above, you probably racked to secondary too quickly but I would think that after a week in secondary the foam would have fallen by now.

give a bottle to some prick at work and observe their behavior/reaction. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/tongue.gif)

in all seriousness, I think you're fine........
