Sure it'd bit fun to drink, but I've never had anything other than a boring lager from the Sapporo Brewery .

Ah, man, I was thinking fermented in space? Then I saw the barley and I thought space farm? Nah, it's barley descended from seeds that spent 5 months in space. So, seeds that were in microgravity for awhile, then grown on Earth, and now a few generations deep. So close to being totally cool.

They did this with lots of different seeds and ended up with freaky large fruits. I just hope they sent some cascade rhizomes into orbit also. Sounds like a gimmick from Sapporo.
QUOTE Sapporo isn't planning to sell the special brew, at least for now, and hasn't decided how it will distribute the planned 100 bottles, Matsumura said. I bet. (IMG:style_emoticons/brewboard/dry.gif) |

Sure it'd bit fun to drink, but I've never had anything other than a boring lager from the Sapporo Brewery . I don't mind drinking Sapporo... But..the only time I actually drink it is when I'm at a NYC Sushi Bar with a copius amount of raw fish in front of me.. I guess the Sapporo complements the meal for me. anyway..Cool story.. although I agree that initially I thought it was grown in space.. Thinking about it.. I don't think there are too many open fields up there ready to harvest Barley. |

This is the plot behind _The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress_ by R. Heinlen.
Good book. |
