Just got a bottle of this as a gift. First impression: This is the darkest liquid I have ever seen that is intended for human consumption, with the exception of molasses. Maybe. It has the opacity of very heavily used motor oil. Even the stream as you pour it is totally black. It is a strong stout, rich, full of flavor. Very heavy beer. It's not as massive as, say, an Old Rasputin, but it has a much better flavor. It is about twice as formidable as a Guiness. If you are a stout fan, give it a try, it's very stout.

Everything I dream of in a stout. Dark, smooth ,roasty, malty, chewy, and perfectly balanced. I love this stuff.
